Am I listening?

Some of us
in this world
believe that
we are guided.

Our guide
or guides
present us
with opportunities
to experience.

Often,
we are unaware,
when our guides
are talking to us.

At other times,
we are too busy
to listen,
and ignore
what is being said.

In doing so,
we miss experiences
designed for us
to learn.

Have you ever heard
the saying,
“If you don’t learn it
the first time,
it will come back
to test you.”

Like everyone,
I have ignored
my guides
on many occasions.

Sure enough,
the missed opportunity
has returned
in my life.
