Some time alone

When we are between partners
there is a feeling
of loneliness
and despair.

We desperately want
to share our life
with someone,
yet that wish
seems so far away.

As our friends
are involved
with their partners
or meeting new friends,
our sense
of hopelessness
is heightened.

At this time,
we can feel
incomplete and inadequate.
